Hi Year 2,
Hope you are all staying safe and well. It was lovely to speak to some of you over the phone last week; I really enjoyed our conversations.
This week for me has been very similar to other weeks being off school. I have been helping my children with creative activities they have been given for home learning. We made items out of boxes which was fun. I even learnt lots of facts I didn’t know about the Norman Conquest and The Battle of Hastings.
This morning we went for some exercise to Forge Mill Lake in West Bromwich. We fed the ducks and even saw some very cute baby ducklings.
I hope you are all still completing your home learning tasks. Have a go at the Rock Challenge if you haven’t already done so.
Keep safe and I hope to see you all soon.
Love Mrs Merrix

Hello Year 2,
It’s really strange not to see all your faces and hear your voices filling the classroom but it is important that we all keep safe.
I hope you are managing to keep learning – even if you do a little bit each day – that will help your brain continue to learn.
Make sure you all keep behaving. Use this time to make lots of memories with your families.
What have you all been doing?
I have been helping my own children complete their school work. We go on a walk everyday and have painted lots of rocks to hide in our local woods.
I look forward to the day when we can all see each other again in school.
Stay safe. Lots of love
Hi Year 2,
How are you are? What have you been up to this past week? This week I have been baking in the kitchen with my two daughters. They like baking and eating…..but dislike washing up. We made Gruffalo biscuits by using cocoa pops and melted chocolate. Perhaps you could do the same. I’d love to see what you have been baking.
The weather has been better too so we have been out in our back garden enjoying the sunshine. We’ve also been walking through our local nature reserve again, paddling in the stream and jumping in muddy puddles!
Stay safe and hope to see you all soon.
