My name is Mrs S. Chesney-Ly, and I have been lucky enough to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school since February 2021.  We are proud to be part of a supportive and forward-thinking multi-academy trust.

In July 2024, Ofsted graded us Good in all areas and overall, noting that “Newtown is a warm and welcoming school.  Pupils benefit from the positive relationships they have with other pupils and with staff, who care deeply for them.”  This is something we are extremely proud of and work hard to maintain every day.

Newtown is the perfect place for children to spend their primary years.  We aim to ensure that all pupils leave us as successful learners, responsible citizens and resilient individuals who are ready for the next stage of their education.
